  4. Memory.  Memory of this sort is like
  5. a newspaper.  You can read it as
  6. often as you like, but you can't
  7. change it.

  14. stands for Random Access Memory.
  15. These chips can be told something and
  16. will remember it.  If you tell them
  17. something different, they will then
  18. remember the new information.  They
  19. only work when the power is on.  If
  20. you turn the computer off, the RAM
  21. chips forget everything.

  36. bug in the box, with the most
  37. legs. Almost every bit of

  40. chip.  Intel is the most famous
  41. manufacturer of CPUs for
  42. IBM-compatible computers. In
  43. PC-class machines the Intel CPU
  44. model number is 8088.  In XT
  45. computers it is 8088-2.  In
  46. AT-class machines it is 80286,
  47. in '386' computers it is number
  48. 80386 and in '486s'... you
